We are expecting a full chocolate litter in early 2016 and a chocolate and black litter mid-2016!
Keep an eye on this page for a updates on the upcoming litters or check our facebook site for announcements of planned litters and photos of current litters.
Our puppies are raised in our home, with constant exposure to people, so that they develop the true Labrador temperament, the hallmark of this wonderful breed. All puppies will be well socialized, up-to-date on vaccinations and fully de-wormed before they go home. Puppies released to their new owners between 7-8 weeks of age.
New owners received a puppy folder containing the following: a record of immunization, a feeding schedule, follow-up care instructions and health booklets, a pedigree, copies of parent’s health clearances and pictures, a East African Kennel Club (EAKC) registration, plus a list of tips, and a “Puppy Basics” sheet to get you and your new companion off to a good start.
We strive to place our puppies with families who share that same love for Labs as we do, and who find great joy in their companionship.
Puppy Application and Contract
Our litters are planned well in advance and sold by reservation to approved families. All Imani puppies are sold on Limited Registration that can be lifted after clear hip scores (after 18 months) and as available here in Kenya DNA tests.
Imani Labradors puppies’ future family homes are selected for the highest and best interest for our dogs! Imani reserves the option to keep puppy(s) out of each litter.
All our puppies receive de-worming, as well as their first series of puppy boosters and are veterinarian checked to be in good health prior to going to their new home.
Occasionally, we have older labs to place to suitable homes. We post notice of their availability on our website.
All puppies are sold with a puppy contract that sets out the conditions of the sale.
After receiving your questionnaire, we will contact you to discuss next steps.

The legal stuff
Our puppies are all registered with East African Kennel Club (EAKC). A Contract (see sample above) is also drawn up between Breeder and Purchaser for your protection and ours. A breeding restriction is placed on all pups for the first year and a half. For labs this restriction will be lifted on receipt by us of a hip score certificate reflecting an acceptable score, and other DNA tests (EIC and PRA).
